Work Life Programs

MAI places great emphasis on creating an environment where our employees can enjoy a satisfying work/life balance.  Below are just some of the programs we have put in place to assist our employees in this area:

Annual Holiday Party
MAI's annual holiday party is always an exquisite event for our staff. Our holiday parties have been held at some of the finest restaurants in Northern Virginia, and are a long-standing tradition for the company.

Employee Luncheons
Each summer we honor our employees with an appreciation luncheon at a local restaurant, and give out great gifts like Lands' End jackets and beverage coolers. Trivia games like the "MAI Fun Facts Quiz" or "MAI Baby Picture Contest" are fun ways for employees to win additional prizes.

After Work Get-Togethers
Pot luck dinners, catered meals, and happy hours at local venues are just some of the ways that our staff gets together after work to socialize with friends and co-workers.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
We know that balancing the demands of life and work can be challenging at times. MAI has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide confidential counseling for our employees and family members when they need help with personal or work-related issues.

Dependent Care Referral
A free child care referral service is available through our EAP. The EAP provides assistance when employees need full-time child care, back-up care, preschool or special needs programs.

Elder Care Referral
When our employees have concerns about an aging parent or other relative, MAI's EAP program can direct them to elder care case managers, as well as:

  • Adult day care
  • Assisted living facilities
  • Legal services
  • Retirement communities
  • Support groups and transportation services

Financial Services
We know that our employees want to plan for the future and may need assistance making financial decisions. MAI's EAP offers access to a nationwide financial planning network and free consultations with financial planners.

Credit Union Membership
All employees and family members are eligible to join the Northwest Federal Credit Union which has an office just a short distance from MAI headquarters.

Legal Services
MAI employees can take advantage of free legal consultations and discounts of 25% on the general fees of the network legal firm offered through our EAP.

Convenience Services
Time is valuable to our employees. If they need assistance our EAP counselors can direct employees to entertainment and recreation and sports venues, as well as other services like grocery shopping and housekeeping.
