US Army's FORCES Cost Suite
MAI developed the Force and Organizational Cost Estimating System (FORCES) for the U.S. Army. This suite of models and tools represent years of innovative development and refinement aimed at both enhancing the Army’s overall force cost estimating capability and providing a powerful framework for all future force cost estimating and cost modeling within the Army. Included in the FORCES suite are:
- FORCES Cost Model (FCM) – The Army’s first robust, PC-based force costing model, which provides the analyst with the capability of quickly estimating the cost to activate or deactivate, operate, move, or modify units.
- Army Contingency Cost Model (ACM) – Provides the analyst with the capability to rapidly estimate the cost of deploying Army units anywhere in the world.
- End Strength Cost Model (ESCM) – Provides the analyst with the capability to estimate the costs and savings associated with reducing or increasing military end strength.
- Army Cost Factor Handbook (CFH) – Consists of over 100 databases containing a wide variety of cost factors used to develop personnel, equipment, and infrastructure life cycle cost estimates. The CFH is a web-based application, accessed and queried over the Internet.
